The Five Stones Hunting territory is 2000 square miles of wild and remote country in the Omineca Range north of Smithers, BC. Access is limited to float planes only.

Hunting for Mountain Caribou in Northern BC

Caribou Hunting Mountain Caribou are located in only part of our area. This part of the area holds the majority of our caribou population. Bulls in the past have averaged between 340”-360”. This year will be the first time that we will be accessing that part of the area.

For this reason we are only selling these hunts in addition to a Moose, Goat or Grizzly hunts. We will be hunting for these animals by horse, foot, or boat or a combination of all three.

This herd borders the Spatsizi plateau. In other parts of the area we do see caribou but not in any sizable amounts but opportunity has arisen at some really good bulls.

Mountain Caribou Hunting Prices and Dates

For 2010, this species is only offered in combination with moose, goat and grizzly hunts. In 2011 we will be offering this species as a separate hunt.
